The Mission: Build, Play, Imagine
Every time Dr. Inferno appears, the Agents are immediately called into action. In this action-packed LEGO set, Dr. Inferno's henchman Magma Commander has unleashed his Magma Drones on the City. The Agents' mission is to use their top-secret helicopter to destroy Magma Commander's satellite broadcaster and wipe out his robots.
The Agents Aerial Defense Unit provides a dynamic narrative setting to inspire imaginative play. In addition to the 17-inch helicopter, this set includes a satellite dish station, getaway vehicle, and plenty of Agent gadgets. The Aerial Defense Unit also comes complete with six mini figures: Agent Chase, Agent Charge, Agent Swift, Magma Commander, and three Magma Drones.
Also, there are plenty of additional features to keep the set interesting. Just when it seems like the Agents are doomed, you can engineer their escape from the evil drones --they can zoom down the zip line with their special backpacks, jump into the secret getaway vehicle, flee through Magma Commander's hidden door, or set the helicopter's propellers in motion for the ultimate escape.
Building the Aerial Defense Unit
With 733 pieces and a colorful instruction booklet, the Aerial Defense Unit took our two adult testers approximately three hours to construct. The process was challenging but not too difficult, with colorful step-by-step illustrations showing the way.
Overall, this set scores an excellent rating for its clever design elements. Favorite features are the helicopter's twin propeller blades that turn automatically with a push of a button, the chopper's spinning wheels, the escape winch, the movable helicopter doors, the getaway vehicle that drops out of the back of the helicopter, and the gadget-laden command center. And the detailed cast of characters made it really enjoyable helping the Agents
